Bob's Obituarty

Saturday, September 21, 2024.  Dear son of the late Anthony and Luella Varel (nee Voss). 

Dear brother of Mike (Cathy) Varel, Carolyn (Larry) Scacciaferro and the late Jim and Glen Varel. 

Dear uncle of Jennifer (Jerry) Eidson and Joan (Lucas Olson) Scacciaferro.  Dear great uncle of Colin and Nolan Eidson.  Our dear cousin and friend.

Bob graduated from Corpus Christi High School and Southeast Missouri State University. He enjoyed his years at these schools, playing basketball and track.

He retired from McDonnell-Douglas as a computer programmer.  He always enjoyed life to the fullest.

SERVICES:  Memorial visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel (10151 Gravois Road Affton, Missouri 63123) on Saturday, October 5, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at Royale Orleans (2801 Telegraph Road St. Louis, Missouri 63125) on Sunday, October 6, 12:00 noon.

This is Bob Varel's sister, Carolyn Scacciaferro.

Bob passed away on September 21, 2024. He enjoyed these SEMO track lunches. We had a Celebration of Life, and his Semo letter jacket was on display. He had great memories at SEMO for track and basketball. He was so fortunate to reconnect with his good Semo friend, Curt Williams.
