Death occurred surrounded with his family by his side. He was 73, born in Oak Park, Illinois. Service will be held at Louisiana National Cemetery, 303 West Mount Pleasant Road, Zachary, LA 70791 on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. with religious service, conducted by clergy following with Military Honors. Wake to follow service. He was a veteran with the United States Coast Guard. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Christopher Collins and wife Amanda Collins; grandchildren, Amelia and Harley; sister, Norma Gearhart and husband Jim Gearhart; brother, Don Collins and wife Kim Collins; sister-in-law, Melissa Collins; sister-in-law, Diane Martin and husband Gerald Martin; brother-in-law, Dana St. Claire and wife Christy St. Claire; brother-in-law, Dwight St. Claire and wife Susan St. Claire. Dale loved all his nephews and nieces and great nieces and nephews
